It seems that, in this age, an idealist would most likely fail, so would a liberal. But many of them -- those of us who are still alive -- yet steadfastly hold their ideals and tenaciously quest after freedom, for themselves and for those around them or even for the whole humanity. Then we would die, with our ideals unfulfilled and our freedom unattained; and our death would eventually bring us to the face of reality -- that we have failed. |
